New Hotel Rooms Go Live at Destination Emirates Old Trafford

Emirates Old Trafford have announced today that the venue’s 100 new rooms are ready and available for use. The stylish bedrooms represent the completion of the new hotel extension that has seen the in-venue Hilton Garden Inn Hotel extended to 250 bedrooms, many with pitch facing terraces, as well as its new events space, The Edge. The expanded hotel forms part of a wider vision for the venue, which also includes the launch of two outdoor terraces and an Eco Roof Garden, all of which further enhance the stadium’s meetings and event product. The introduction of the new hotel rooms has been a game changer since they’re launch earlier in the summer and forms part of the wider Destination Emirates Old Trafford campaign, which showcases the complete meetings and events options that can be accessed by event planners across the venue. The opening completes Emirates Old Trafford’s thriving conference and events business which has flourished over the past decade. Over that time, the venue has revolutionised its hospitality proposition, including the opening of The Point in 2010 – an award-winning space and a firm client favourite - upgrades across the venue, and now the bigger, even more dynamic hotel which is now set to become an essential development in supporting the venue’s growing client list of organisers looking to make the most of this ever expanding live experience destination. The hotel directly connects the Pavilion and onwards to The Point, two of the leading spaces within the venue, again allowing organisers to add on additional days to their conferences and events, while also keeping delegates together on-site. This in turn opens other on-site incentive and team building opportunities, from the Players and Media Centre to the Cricket Centre, all of which add value across the event itinerary.Angela Hodson, Sales Director, Emirates Old Trafford, said: “We’re incredibly proud of the New Development at Emirates Old Trafford that initially opened during the Ashes in July and it’s a real moment in time to see the additional 100 bedrooms now go live and on sale.“Since our launch earlier this summer, we’ve had an incredible reaction and feedback from the marketplace. The additional rooms also enable us to further grow and develop the market for hosting large, multi-day residential events that can utilise everything Destination Emirates Old Trafford has to offer.“To have a 250 bed hotel on site at the venue – as well as The Edge, a new events space - is a game changer for us and takes us to a completely new level. It completes the venue’s redevelopment over the last 15 years into a truly world class multi-purpose venue and we can’t wait to see guests enjoying the new space and offering, whether that’s for a cricket match, an event, staying in the hotel or coming for a concert.”
