Start your night off by meeting up with friends and family in our bar for a complimentary arrival drink, then take your seat for a fabulous 3-course meal, followed by entertainment from our resident DJ. We’ll even throw in a drink voucher per person too!

Booking for more than 50 people? Event organizers can enjoy a bedroom and breakfast for the night of their event on the house.

The Rose & Crown is the home of the Afternoon Tea, served daily between 12pm and 4pm. Our traditional Afternoon Tea takes a festive twist throughout December, so why not treat yourself or a loved one to a relaxing Afternoon Tea in our stunning 13th Century coaching inn.

Christmas Eve
Arrival on Christmas Eve from 2pm and enjoy our delectable Festive Afternoon Tea buffet followed by an evening meal in our River’s Edge Restaurant. You can attend midnight mass at Salisbury Cathedral or simply enjoy a mulled wine or hot toddy in front of the fire in the bar or lounge before retiring to your room.

Christmas Day
Wake up Christmas morning and enjoy your breakfast, spend the morning at your leisure, maybe take a stroll to the Cathedral to make some room for your delicious 5-course Christmas lunch. After a relaxing afternoon enjoy a selection of Charcuterie, cold cuts, and salads, if you have room for dinner.

Boxing Day
Boxing Day will start with breakfast and for those of you due to check out at 11am, you can prepare yourselves for your journey home. For those of you who are staying with us for three nights, a traditional Boxing Day lunch will be served in the River’s Edge Restaurant. Spend the afternoon, relaxing in front of the open fires or stroll along the river Avon. Boxing Day is a great day to enjoy the panto: for tickets visit wilshirecreative.co.uk. For your dinner graze on Chef ’s Bits, Bites & Baubles buffet to round off the day. Breakfast will be served the following morning before we bid you farewell for your journey home.

Escape the noise of a traditionally rowdy New Year’s Eve and join us for a more relaxing start to 2026.

Enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner in our River’s Edge restaurant followed by a toast drink at midnight to see in the New Year. After a relaxing night’s sleep, make a leisurely start to 2026 by joining us for a late brunch the following morning, with our traditional full-English plus additional options of Kedgeree, Potato Hash and other Brunch favourites before your late checkout and departure.
