Outdoor Wedding Ceremonies & Marquee Weddings

For couples dreaming of an outdoor wedding ceremony in Oxfordshire, our stunning lawns provide a spectacular riverside backdrop. Outdoor ceremonies can host up to 300 guests, making them particularly popular for marquee weddings and larger celebrations where the natural beauty of the grounds becomes part of the experience.

Greenlands offers a variety of ceremony options to suit your wedding plans, from smaller, intimate ceremonies through to larger celebrations for up to 300 guests, depending on your chosen location within the estate.

Ceremony hire is not included within our in-house wedding reception packages and is priced separately should you wish to host both your ceremony and reception at Greenlands.

We’re licenced for civil ceremonies and offer three beautiful rooms within the house, perfect for peaceful, intimate settings of up to 120 guests. For larger ceremony celebrations, our stunning outdoor grounds can host ceremonies for larger groups up to 300 guests.

The Blue Room - 60 guests maximum

Situated just off the reception area within the main house, the Blue Room is the smallest of our licenced rooms. Ideal for an intimate ceremony with plenty of historic charm.

The Garden Common room - 120 guests maximum

This beautiful multi-functioning room found adjacent off the terrace entrance hall within the main house. This room is a unique space with hand-painted murals, with double bay windows overlooking the grounds towards the River Thames.

Grounds - 300 guests maximum

Our stunning grounds are available for marquee weddings or as part of an in-house celebration, offering the perfect setting for outdoor ceremonies. With sweeping lawns and views of the River Thames, it provides a truly unforgettable backdrop.
