Coastal Cruises Invites Guests to Experience a Rare Solar Eclipse from the Waters of Poole Harbour

A spectacular celestial event is set to grace the skies over Dorset this summer, and Coastal Cruises is giving people the chance to experience it from one of the most unique viewing locations in the county. On Wednesday 12th August 2026, Coastal Cruises will be hosting a special Sunset Solar Eclipse Cruise, departing Poole Quay at 6:00pm and returning at 8:00pm, perfectly timed to coincide with a deep partial solar eclipse visible across the UK.As the Moon passes across the face of the Sun, guests aboard the cruise will enjoy uninterrupted views creating a truly memorable setting to witness one of nature's most fascinating spectacles.Carol Scott, Managing Director of Coastal Cruises, said:"Events like this don't come along very often, and we wanted to create something really special. Watching a solar eclipse from the waters Poole Harbour, surrounded by beautiful scenery as the Sun begins to set, promises to be an unforgettable experience. Whether you're an astronomy enthusiast or simply looking for a unique evening out, this is a cruise you'll remember for years to come."The two-hour cruise will feature spacious open viewing decks, comfortable indoor lounges, a fully licensed onboard bar and live commentary from the friendly Coastal Cruises crew.As this is a solar eclipse, guests wishing to observe the event will need to bring their own ISO 12312-2 certified solar eclipse glasses. Regular sunglasses do not provide adequate protection and must not be used to look directly at the Sun.The cruise is expected to be popular due to the rarity of the event and the exceptional views available from Poole Harbour.Carol added:"We spend every day showcasing the beauty of Poole Harbour, but this cruise offers something completely different. It's the chance to experience a remarkable natural event from the water with family and friends, and we can't wait to welcome everyone on board."Cruise Information - Event: Sunset Solar Eclipse Cruise - Date: Wednesday 12th August 2026 - Departure: 6:00pm from Poole Quay - Return: 8:00pm - Duration: 2 hoursAdvance booking is recommended as places are limited.Book here!

Allianz Stadium to Host Everything Electric GREATER LONDON as Supersized Events Offering Gathers Momentum

Everything Electric GREATER LONDON will debut at Twickenham’s Allianz Stadium on 11th and 12th September 2026, using the venue’s West Car Park to deliver a large-scale outdoor electric vehicle, home energy and technology event.Allianz Stadium will welcome Everything Electric GREATER LONDON for the first time on 11th and 12th September 2026, adding another major outdoor activation to the stadium’s growing portfolio of supersized events. The touring electrification show will take place in the West Car Park, a flexible open-air event space suited to high-footfall exhibitions, test-drive experiences, live content, brand activations and festival-style formats. For event professionals, the arrival of Everything Electric GREATER LONDON demonstrates the scale and versatility available at Allianz Stadium beyond matchdays. The West Car Park provides a blank-canvas setting for large outdoor events, with the wider stadium campus offering the infrastructure, operational experience, food and drink provision, branding opportunities and production support required for larger public and corporate gatherings. The venue’s supersized events proposition is designed for large-scale occasions of upwards of 2,000 guests, including festivals, product launches, brand experiences, team-building days, live entertainment and outdoor fan villages. Situated close to central London and Heathrow, with extensive on-site facilities and parking, Allianz Stadium offers organisers a combination of scale, accessibility and a memorable stadium setting that can be tailored to ambitious briefs.Everything Electric GREATER LONDON visitors will be able to explore electric vehicles, home energy technology, solar, battery storage and heat pumps, with expert advice available on reducing energy bills and carbon emissions. The live Electric Theatre programme will feature 20+ sessions across the weekend, with leading voices discussing EVs, clean energy, sustainable living and emerging technologies such as AI, autonomous driving and robotics. In response to increasing interest in salary sacrifice schemes and fleet transition, organisers will host a B2B EV Day on Friday 11th September, running alongside the consumer show. Business visitors can take advantage of expert-led theatre sessions, insights into financial savings and the opportunity to test drive multiple electric models from a wide range of manufacturers.Across both days, the event will maintain its signature family-friendly atmosphere, with thousands of multi-brand electric test drives giving visitors the opportunity to compare vehicles in a relaxed, no-pressure environment. Beyond cars, attendees can take part in test rides on electric bikes, scooters and skateboards on the Micro-Mobility Test Track, alongside a variety of activities designed to appeal to all ages.Visitors will have the chance to see and hear from familiar faces live on the Electric Theatre stage, including Everything Electric presenters Robert Llewellyn and Helen Czerski, CEO Dan Caesar, and Just Have a Think’s Dave Borlace. For meetings and events planners, the show is a live example of how Allianz Stadium can support complex, content-rich outdoor events with multiple audience journeys, vehicle movement, exhibitor areas, theatre programming and public attendance.
